For this assignment I want you to design 2 series of 3 objects each. Inanimate objects. Possibly part of an interior or exterior environment, and you can definitely start planning for your final painting ( multiple chars. in an environment ) by designing objects you will use therein.
Do one series in color and one just with line ( value or color optional )
Now, the catch, is that the objects have to represent "tiers" or "levels" within the same category. There should be a clear, and more or less even progression.
For example:
A. The same "type" of object (namely, oil lamps).
B. All made out of clay
C. They share a color scheme.
D. 1 - 2 - 3 spouts!
E. Value structure please
and F. Don't kill yourself! Make something clear and simple, focus on design. Even in a simple object there is PLENTY detail to paint. This is about creating progression with design elements; try to show what ideas you came up with to create the tier structure.
